ADMISSION
Online application for new admission (for classes I-X & XII) in Army Public School Shillong will be accepted with effect from 05 Mar 2025 to 20 Mar 2025 for the following priorities only
The priorities for admission subject to availability of seats will be as under:
- Priority -1 Children of serving Army personnel including DSC( Ex Army), children of Army widows, Children of TA personnel ( min 5 years embodied service)
- Priority -2 Children of ex-Army Personal retd /invalided out on medical ground with pension, DSC personnel retd with pension from DSC.
- Priority -3 Children of Serving Air force , Navy and Coast Guard personnel.
- Priority -4 Children of Retd Airforce, Navy and Coast Guard personnel.
- Priority -5 Children of Ex-Army personnel who left Army with less than 10 yrs service and not recognised as Ex-Serviceman.
- Priority -6 Children of civilians paid out of Def Estimates, CAPF, Assam Rifless, MES, GREF, TA ( when not embodied)
NOTE: Submission of application does not guarantee admission. The admission shall be as per above mentioned priorities and availability of seats in each class. No ward of serving Army personnel will be denied admission in any class.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Apply for Admissions online by following the steps below
- Click on APPLY NOW which will redirect you to the online application page
- Select "Apply for Admission" from the ‘Admission bar’.
- Select Location (Shillong), Zone (Shillong), and Class. Then click on Search. Army Public School Shillong will appear on the screen.
- Click on Proceed. Fill all the details as asked on screen and click on submit
- After submitting, the screen will ask for OTP
- If the correct OTP is filled, then inquiry is complete. Click the Next Button.
- The Admission Form will now be displayed on the screen. Fill all the mandatory fields, then Save and continue.
- Upload all the necessary documents in PDF/JPEG as asked and save and continue.
- Confirm and then the edit option will appear.
- Please check if all the data are correct. If yes, then click Save and Continue.
- A payment option will appear for the admission form. Pay now to complete your Application.
- After completion of payment, take a printout and keep it for future reference
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CLASSES I - X & XII
- Transfer Certificate - In original.(at the time of admission)
- Progress/Report Card - Photostat copy
- Medical Fitness Certificate of the child(If the student is coming from other than APS)

- Photostat copy of discharge book (All pages)
- Photostat copy of record office Part-II order if the child was born after discharge

For Classes X & XII
- In addition to the above, the following documents are also required to be submitted at the time of admission for further submission to CBSE.
- Two copies of transfer certificate (to be ink signed by the principal of the present school)
- Two copies of Progress/Report Card certificate (to be ink signed by the principal of the present school)
- Class IX/XI Online Registration - (2 ink signed copies by the Principal of previous school)
- Class X board marks sheet – (2 ink signed copies by the Principal of previous school)
- Posting order/Movement order - 3 copies duly ink signed/attested by the present serving unit officer
- Quarter/Separate Allotment order - 3 copies duly ink signed/attested by present serving unit officer.
- Relationship-Cum-Service Certificate
- (i) ADD for Rs 1000/- for processing fee of direct admission and If any change of subjects, an application to be submitted on arrival at school with DD for Rs 1000/- per one subject
AGE LIMIT FOR ADMISSION
The age of a student on first admission to various classes in Army Public Schools shall be regulated as indicated below:-

EVALUATION TEST
It is mandatory to appear for the offline Evaluation Test for those coming from Non-APS. There Evaluation Test shall be conducted on 29 Mar 2025 at 0900 Hrs. No Evaluation Test shall be conducted for the students seeking admission in class The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the school notice board by 03 April 2025.
