ADMISSION (BALVATIKA-I, CLASSES I - X AND XII)

The 1^st phase for online application for admission has concluded with the last date being 24th March 2025. The 2^nd phase of online application for admission will open on 05 April 2025 and will close on 10 April 2025.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Mode of Application: Only online applications will be accepted.
• Application Link: Please apply by clicking APPLY
• Help Desk: The school has a help desk facility, to help students and parents to apply online within the school premises.
• Eligible Categories: Only applicants falling under Category 1 to Category 5 are eligible to apply during this phase.

1. Priority -1 Children of serving Army personnel including DSC( Ex Army), children of Army widows, Children of TA personnel ( min 5 years embodied service)
2. Priority -2 Children of ex-Army Personal retd /invalided out on medical ground with pension, DSC personnel retd with pension from DSC.
3. Priority -3 Children of Serving Air force , Navy and Coast Guard personnel.
4. Priority -4 Children of Retd Airforce, Navy and Coast Guard personnel.
5. Priority -5 Children of Ex-Army personnel who left Army with less than 10 yrs service and not recognised as Ex-Serviceman.
6. Priority -6 Children of civilians paid out of Def Estimates, CAPF, Assam Rifless, MES, GREF, TA ( when not embodied)

NOTE: Submission of application does not guarantee admission. The admission shall be as per above mentioned priorities and availability of seats in each class. No ward of serving Army personnel will be denied admission in any class.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Apply for Admissions online by following the steps below

1. Click on APPLY NOW which will redirect you to the online application page
2. Select "Apply for Admission" from the ‘Admission bar’.
3. Select Location (Shillong), Zone (Shillong), and Class. Then click on Search. Army Public School Shillong will appear on the screen.
4. Click on Proceed. Fill all the details as asked on screen and click on submit
5. After submitting, the screen will ask for OTP
6. If the correct OTP is filled, then inquiry is complete. Click the Next Button.
7. The Admission Form will now be displayed on the screen. Fill all the mandatory fields, then Save and continue.
8. Upload all the necessary documents in PDF/JPEG as asked and save and continue.
9. Confirm and then the edit option will appear.
10. Please check if all the data are correct. If yes, then click Save and Continue.
11. A payment option will appear for the admission form. Pay now to complete your Application.
12. After completion of payment, take a printout and keep it for future reference

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR CLASSES I - X & XII

1. Transfer Certificate - In original.(at the time of admission)
2. Progress/Report Card - Photostat copy
3. Medical Fitness Certificate of the child(If the student is coming from other than APS)

6. Two passport size photo of the student(at the time of Admission)

Additional Documents Required For Serving Personnel

1. Relationship-cum-service certificate - In original (at the time of admission).
2. Photostat copies of the following documents of parents

   2. Movement order
   3. Quarter allotment/Local Address proof

Additional Documents Required For Ex-Servicemen

1. Photostat copy of discharge book (All pages)
2. Photostat copy of record office Part-II order if the child was born after discharge
3. Photostat copy of local address proof

For Classes X & XII

1. In addition to the above, the following documents are also required to be submitted at the time of admission for further submission to CBSE.
2. Two copies of transfer certificate (to be ink signed by the principal of the present school)
3. Two copies of Progress/Report Card certificate (to be ink signed by the principal of the present school)
4. Class IX/XI Online Registration - (2 ink signed copies by the Principal of previous school)
5. Class X board marks sheet – (2 ink signed copies by the Principal of previous school)
6. Posting order/Movement order - 3 copies duly ink signed/attested by the present serving unit officer
7. Quarter/Separate Allotment order - 3 copies duly ink signed/attested by present serving unit officer.
8. Relationship-Cum-Service Certificate
9. (i) ADD for Rs 1000/- for processing fee of direct admission and If any change of subjects, an application to be submitted on arrival at school with DD for Rs 1000/- per one subject

AGE LIMIT FOR ADMISSION

The age of a student on first admission to various classes in Army Public Schools shall be regulated as indicated below:-

Class For Admission a student should have completed the under-mentioned years of age on 31 March of the year in which admission is sought

Note: As per mandate of NEP 2020, entry age for Class – I has been revised to 6+ years with effect from the academic Session 2023-24.

EVALUATION TEST

It is mandatory to appear for the offline Evaluation Test for those coming from Non-APS. The Evaluation Test shall be conducted on 12 April 2025 at 0900 Hrs. No Evaluation Test shall be conducted for the students seeking admission in class I.
