Master Advitiya A G, Class III A participated in the 1st Meghalaya International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament 2023 organised by Meghalaya Chess Association which was held at SAI, STC Indoor Sports Stadium from 16th – 20th Dec 2023 and secured 2nd position Under 10 category.
Army Public School Shillong won the First Prize in the Eastern Command English Debate Competition. Dhruv Sharma and Shaakshi Rai won the Best Speakers For and Against the Motion.
APS Shillong won the Inter APSs Cluster Level English Debate Competition 2023 which was held at APS Tezpur on 6th Sept 2023. Dhruv Sharma of Class 12 Sc won the Best Speaker (For the Motion).
APS Shillong won the Inter APS Volleyball Tournament Cluster Level 2023 held at APS Shillong. The match was played between APS Shillong and APS Jorhat.
APS Shillong was awarded "ATL School of the Month" by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). The ATL School of the Month initiative aims to recognize and appreciate the exceptional efforts of schools within the ATL Community.
On the 15th of June 2023, Army Wives Welfare Association(AWWA) conducted the Cluster cum Command Level Ethics Bowl Competition. There were a total of 12 Army Public Schools that participated from Eastern Command and Army Public School Shillong stood 1st amongst all of them.
An Inter School Science Exhibition Competition was conducted on the 19th of May 2023 at David Hall, APS Shillong. Premier educational institution across the city participated in the event. The competition had 2 categories, Category I (VI to VIII) and Category II (IX to XII). In Category I, APS Shillong bagged the 3rd Prize and in Category II APS Shillong bagged the 1st Prize.
Labour Deptt. of Meghalaya organised a Poster Making Competition on 01 May 2023. Anveet Singh of VI C bagged the 3rd Prize in Class I to V Category and Soumya Rai of class VI A bagged the 3rd Prize in Class VI to X Category
A Youth Convention was organised on 29 April 2023 by Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Center for students of IX to XII. Dhruv Sharma spoke on behalf of APSS and bagged the 1st Prize. Armaan Tandon bagged the 1st Prize in Group Discussion.
An inter school debate competition was conducted at PN Chaudhari Memorial School, Rilbong on 05 April 2023. There were 12 schools and 24 participates 2 from each school. Anumeha Sehgal of class X A was declared the winner and Bhavya of class X A was the runners up.
